Overview:
Alpheus fasciatus is an eastern Pacific snapping shrimp first described from Puerto Escondido, Gulf of California. It can be found in pairs, living in crevices or under rocks in the shallow subtidal.
Systematics and Identification:
Alpheus fasciatus was first described from Puerto Escondido, Gulf of California; Knowlton et al. (2008) report that the type material is inextant.
Habitat and Host Associations:
Free-living in pairs, under rocks and in crevices in coral rubble (Knowlton et al. 2008)
