Synalpheus peruvianus Coutière, 1910
Originally described from Peru, Synalpheus peruvianus is a snapping shrimp from the eastern Pacific belongs to the Paulsoni species group within the genus Synalpheus.
Synalpheus peruvianus belongs to the Paulsoni species group within the genus Synalpheus(Rathbun 1910). Named after the country from which this species was first described (Peru). Type locality: Matapalo, Peru (Rathbun 1910), types stored at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution (USNM). Type: USNM 40503.
Synalpheus peruvianus is found among oysters or coral reefs (Salazar et al. 2005)
